1st Tardy: warning by teacher to student
teacher notes date on tardy card
student initial date on tardy card

2nd Tardy: warning by teacher to student
teacher notes date on tardy card
student initials date on tardy card
teacher makes a documented attempt to contact parents
* Form letter mailed, e-mail sent, OR telephone call made
* Stress: next tardy will result in before or after school detention

3rd Tardy: teacher notes date on tardy card
student initials date on tardy card
teacher writes tardy referral to coordinator
coordinator assigns 30-minute detention

4th Tardy: teacher notes date on tardy card
student initials date on tardy card
teacher writes tardy referral to coordinator
coordinator assigns 1-hour detention

5th Tardy: techer notes date on tardy card
student initials date on tardy card
teacher writes tardy referral to coordinator
coordinator assigns 3 days ALC (if available within 2 school days) or 2 hours detention

6th Tardy: teacher notes date on tardy card
student initials date on tardy card
techer writes tardy referral to coordinator
coordinator assigns 5 days ALC

7th Tardy and beyond: teacher notes date on tardy card
student initials date on tardy card
teacher writes tardy referral to coordinator
coordinator assigns punishment at his/her descretion. Possibilities:
* 10 Days ALC
* OSS
* 1-2 week loss of driving privileges

-tardy consequences are administered on a per class basis
-tardies areaccumulated on per term (semester) basis
-the tardy referral form will be a separate form from the disciplinary referral
